Maggy Lengke, Ph.D.
Senior Geochemist

Dr. Lengke has more than 20 years of experience in the environmental geochemistry and water/rock interactions. She specializes in geochemical characterization and modeling of pit lake and waste rock. She is a registered member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME Member # 4220793RM).

Over the last 13 years at Geomega, she has developed both steady state and kinetic solutions for nine pit lake chemistry projects, including at Bald Mountain, Genesis, Twin Creek, Vista VII/VIII, Lone Tree, Gold Quarry, Turquoise Ridge, Cortez Hills and Pipeline Complex pits as part of NEPA, WPCP and FPCP programs. She has managed several mine permitting and remediation projects. Dr. Lengkes computer modeling experience includes application of several aqueous speciation and reaction path models, including PHREEQC, EQ3/EQ6, and Geochemists Workbench. She has published 22 papers in the peer-reviewed scientific literature as contribution to mining geochemistry.
